Phototherapy is the standard first-line treatment for neonatal jaundice (hyperbilirubinemia): blue light in the 400-550 nm band breaks down bilirubin so the baby's body can clear it. Q2: Can the lamp head rotate to aim at the baby?
Yes - and this is an upgrade we built from customer requests: the lamp head rotates 180 degrees, so nurses can angle the light precisely over the baby or swing it aside for nursing procedures without moving the whole trolley. Height is adjustable from 1350 to 1650 mm.
Q3: What about protecting the baby's eyes from the blue light?
Anti-blue-light eye shields are available as matching accessories in both preterm and term sizes - the same sizing hospitals specify for phototherapy care. We recommend ordering one set per bed so every baby is protected during therapy.
